Help is on the Way
Do you ever feel that there is no one who cares about what you are going through? Do you feel that there is no one to help you with all these problems you are facing? I sometimes feel that way. But I am reminded that there is someone who cares. His name is Jesus! Hebrews 4:15 says that "we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin." Jesus knows what we are facing. I think of the disciples who were rowing across the sea of Galilee without Jesus. He told them to go across to the other side, but he stayed behind. Halfway across they ran into a headwind (storm) and it stopped them dead in their tracks. Ever feel paralyzed by the circumstances you are facing? Feel like you are trying so hard but getting nowhere? Well, I have a message for you today: "Help is on the way!". It says in the Gospel of Mark that Jesus "Then He saw them straining at rowing, for the wind was against them. Now about the fourth watch of the night He came to them, walking on the sea,". Jesus saw them, and he sees you! And when the time is right, he will come to you, and nothing in this world can stop him! If he has to walk on water to get there, he will! In John chapter 6 talking about the same event, it says that "as soon as Jesus got into the boat with them, the storm calmed and they immediately arrive at their destination". No matter what you are facing, Jesus sees it, and he will get into your boat and calm your storm and take you through it; right on time! So remember this when you face circumstances that you feel overpowered by, remember this when you feel like your fighting and fighting but getting nowhere; remember this: "Help is on the way, and it is coming in the name and the person of Jesus!"
